A novelty ostrich brooch in silver with a 15ct gold bar. Believe to be of Austro-Hungarian provenance this antique brooch is a real talking piece with the fine silver bird beautifully detailed with enamel on each side and set with a large pearl button to one side. The piece is tarnished and there is nacre loss to the pearls visible with the naked eye but it still very much retains its charm and we adore it.
