A beautiful sapphire and diamond ring from the early 1900s. The centre stone is a beautiful cornflower blue sapphire in a desirable octagonal cut. The gemstone shows beautiful natural zoning patterns when viewed with a loupe and is bright and playful despite nibbles and abrasions to the facets visible with magnification.
The octagonal stone is held secure in a traditional four claw setting and accented by small antique cut diamonds to the shoulders. Finished with a timeless white gold shank. The white gold has yellowed slightly with age, which is typical of this metal, but can be re-plated free of charge if requested.
