A beautiful diamond solitaire ring in 18ct gold. The head of the ring holds a bright elongated cushion cut diamond in a desirable old mined cut. The diamond is in good overall condition with a warmer body colour and clean from significant internal inclusions, although there is a small chip to one end of the stone visible with a loupe. The antique gemstone is estimated at 0.60ct in weight and is held in a traditional multi-claw collet. The collet is believed to be original and has two claws partially missing from age, although the stone remains very much secure; however, the original setting has been re-purposed into a ring with the addition of a modern split shank, fully hallmarked for 2016.
