A lovely antique ring, c.1850, set with approximately a quarter carat of chunky old mined cut diamonds in attractive star settings. The antique diamonds are lovely quality, bright and sparkly with excellent clarity grades and minimal wear.
To the reverse there is evidence of the ring being re-shanked at some point in history, likely to make it a significantly smaller ring size. This has been done well and securely, but there is a slight ‘wobble’ to the shank that gives the game away, although not noticeable when worn.
