A darling old mined cut halo ring in 18ct gold, topped with platinum. The head of the ring is believed to be original and dates to the early 1900s, whereas the shank is a sympathetic modern addition.

The head of the ring is what really caught our eye. The centre stone is a desirable old mined cut cushion with an elongated rectangular outline and bright, crisp, faceting. The antique stone is a warmer golden colour that stands out against the white old cut stones and platinum metal surrounding it, offering a beautiful touch of character to the timeless design. There are a few tiny nicks to the diamonds visible with magnification but this beautiful piece is in otherwise excellent condition.
