A striking early 1900s ring with a lozenge shaped silhouette. The head of the ring is set with a sparkling transitional cut diamond of approximately 0.40ct on a backdrop of bespoke faceted onyx. The centre diamond is of excellent quality and condition, with bright white colour and fiery facets that catch your attention from across the room. This centre diamond is framed by rose cut diamonds at either end of the lozenge, set into contrasting white metal that melts into the black of the onyx.
This exceptional piece is finished with a trident of yellow gold to the shoulders, which leads to a classic gold shank. Offered in excellent overall condition, the only wear to note is some tarnishing to the metal and subtle evidence of a historical re-size to the rear.
