A unique antique garnet cabochon and emerald ring c.1900. The large central garnet is a beautiful deep purplish red colour and good overall condition with the only wear being some light scratches and two surface reaching inclusions visible with magnification. The almandine garnet is perfectly held in a scrolled gold bezel and flanked by two vibrant emeralds. The emeralds are exceptional quality and condition with the perfect bottle green colour and only minimal surface wear to their antique facets.
This exceptional antique ring is complete with twisted vines of gold that weave up the shoulders of the ring to frame the gemstones with a stylised split shank giving a true art nouveau feel to the ring.
