  • An unusual antique memorial ring in 9ct rose gold. To the front of the ring is a fine halo of antique pearls surrounding a stunning enamelled plaque, a later addition, in iridescent greens and blues. The pearls would likely have previously surrounded a glass panel or a cabochon gemstone to the centre, but the peacock enamelling has been added to bring this sentimental piece back to life, and it is such a pretty result. Overall the stones and enamel are in good condition but there are some small chips to the enamel to note.

To the reverse of the ring we get a little more insight into the history of the piece with an engraving reading “T.T.Moor(e) Obt 15th Nov. (1)820, at 30”. Sadly some letters of the engraving have been lost due to a historic repair but we believe that the ring dates to 1820 and lovingly commemorates the life of one T.T.Moore.

A beautiful and unusual chance to own a genuine piece of Georgian history and keep the legacy of T.T.Moore safe for centuries to come.
