A beautiful antique toi et moi ring c.1910. This feminine piece features a large pearl next to a synthetic colour change sapphire. Colour change sapphires are commonly used to synthesize alexandrite, which (alongside pearl) is the birthstone of June. As birthstones began to gain popularity in the 18th century we assume this beautiful piece was commissioned by someone wanting to celebrate June and we love the result.
The two gemstones are set diagonally opposite one another and framed by silver topped swirls, studded with old mined cut diamonds. The antique cut stones adding the perfect sparkle to this special piece. The ring is finished with a timeless yellow gold shank.
