This fine quality piece is of French provenance, having been purchased by a London dealer on the streets of Paris. Modelled in nearly 7.5g of rich 18ct gold, the ring is a take on a traditional cigar band, with a wide shank bezel set with precious gems.
The centre stone is a 1ct deep teal sapphire in a desirable oval cut. The natural sapphire is like an ever-changing ocean with a rainbow of different blues and greens radiating from it as you turn it on your hand. To the naked eye the sapphire is in good condition for a vintage piece, however a few surface nicks and abrasions.
Set either side of the sapphire are two baguette cut diamonds. The fine quality diamonds total an estimated 0.40ct in weight and are the perfect design addition to the ring, adding a beautiful geometric feel.
Please note that due to the width of the ring it fits a little snug, more like a size I – I ½, but can be sized.
