A striking sapphire and diamond five stone ring in 18ct white gold c.1940-1960. The impressive half hoop is set with three cushion cut sapphires in a mesmerising deep purply blue hue, interspersed by two good sized baguette cut diamonds. The high-quality natural gemstones have been expertly hand set in a mixture of claw and bezel settings that accentuate the shape of the stones perfectly, whilst giving the ring an art deco feel. There is some light surface wear to the table facets of the sapphires visible with magnification but otherwise the ring is offered in excellent condition.
