A captivating vintage tourmaline and pearl ring c.1970-1990. The centre stone is what really made us fall in love with this exceptional piece; a vibrant teal tourmaline in a beautiful carre cut. The natural gemstone seems to flash all the colours of the sea as it is turned on your hand, the pearls capping the stormy waves with foam. Offered in good vintage condition the tourmaline has some nibbles to its table facets visible under magnification as well as some beautiful natural inclusions that run through its table like seaweed caught in the tide. Either side the pearls are equally in good condition despite some nacre loss to one. The ring is finished with a beautiful scrolled gallery and chunky yellow gold shank, a ring that truly is the gift that keeps on giving.
