One of the most fantastic and unusual rings we have seen for a while, this Victorian cross ring is set with approximately 0.53ct of old mined cut diamonds, in a cross shape running east to west across the finger. The diamonds are of a high clarity and good colour for old cut stones, with no wear to mention and fantastic brilliance to them: you cannot miss the sparkle of this ring when worn.
The diamonds have been set into silver, which was common in the Georgian and Victorian eras, as it is a softer metal for a setter to manipulate, with the shank and back of the ring being crafted from solid 18ct gold. There is a little bit of metal missing from the outside of one of the diamonds, but the stone is secure and this doesnt compromise the look or durability of this beautiful piece.
This truly is an exceptional ring and one that you won’t see again.
