  • A gorgeous, antique bangle, from c.1910-1920. This striking piece is set with gemstones in red, white and blue, perfect for the patriotic amongst us, and possibly a victory piece, to commemorate the end of the first world war.

Set in wonderful star-burst settings, al of the gemstones are old cut, which is in keeping with the age of the piece, and beautiful quality. The rubies especially have a fantastic pigeon blood colouring to them, something only seen in very important pieces of jewellery; whilst the central spinel has a steely blue colour that appears to change in every light. These exceptional gemstones are separated by two fiery old mined cut diamonds, which are bright and white. The diamonds do have some chips to them, but this is not noticeable unless you are looking for them and they remain secure in their settings.

The bangle is crafted from 9ct yellow gold and has a three-bar design that wraps around the wrist. At some points the bars have become a little squashed, but this is not noticeable when worn and doesn’t compromise the durability of the piece.

The bangle opens and closes securely with a nice click and has a safety chain for added security. When you open the bangle it does open with a bit of a twist, but it connects easily and straight. The bangle is on the smaller side, although it has a circumference of 7.5”, so probably best for someone with average to small wrists (pictured on a 6.5” wrist). So if you are this bangle’s Cinderella, you are one lucky person!
