An exceptional vintage ring modelled in 9ct white gold and fully hallmarked for 1992. Weighing just shy of 11.5g this fine piece has a luxurious feel on the hand with no expense spared to set the mesmerising centre stone: a natural star sapphire of approximately 7ct.
 
The pale blue cabochon shows typical sapphire inclusions, with a silky appearance and yellow zoning. To the reverse the sapphire has a large yellowish inclusion and a divot that goes into the back of the stone, this is part of the un-fashioned sapphire crystal and shows us how the rough would have been before it was expertly polished to form the star stone. 
 
Either side of the sapphire are two small eight cut diamonds, framed by square shaped settings in a simple geometric design that stands out against the textured metal that surrounds them. The result is exceptional and we couldn’t be more obsessed.
