A striking vintage ring in 9ct yellow gold, c.1940. The centre of the ring holds a deep honey coloured citrine in a compass point, four claw setting. Each claw splits into a trident of gold to add a wonderful design feature and extra security to this buttery yellow stone. Please note that one third of one claw is missing, which is not obvious and does nothing to affect the durability of the piece. Surrounding the citrine is a halo of enamelled gold, the dark black enamel perfectly contrasting the sunshine yellow of the centre stone. The ring is offered in overall good condition despite some tarnishing to the metal and light wear to the enamel, consistent with age.
