  • A chunky 18ct gold ring c.1880. This stunning antique ring holds three turquoise cabochons, only possibly a replacement, in beautiful starburst settings. The vibrant baby blue of the stones looks truly regal next to the smooth yellow gold metal.

Whilst the shank of the ring is chunky it is actually hollow and weighs 3.3g. Making hollow rings was common in the Victorian era where there was a real emphasis to get the ‘look’ for a lower budget and verifies this stunning piece as a true antique. However, the unique makeup of the ring means it is not eligible for resizing.

The ring is offered in good overall condition, the only wear to note being one small claw missing surrounding the suspected replacement turquoise and some light denting to the rear of the shank.
